When I was a sassy eight year old my purple barbie wagon was full of beauty supplies for the unsuspecting (and often ungrateful) children in my neighborhood. When my contemporaries were making mud pies and playing hide and seek, I was looking at their sweat stained faces with my head cocked to one side and eyes squinted like Picasso envisioning the goddesses I could create if only, oh, if only they would let me work my magic. I became a makeup artist and hair stylist as an adult in order to pursue that passion. After working several years as a medical aesthetician for a plastic surgeon with a specialty in surgical and preventative anti-aging techniques, I was ready to get back to those neighborhood lovelies with my adult barbie wagon full of new and exciting material.
Between wedding makeup and photo shoots my glamour home is Nordstrom. I have an appointment based business as their beauty stylist, and as such am able to operate across all brands to teach the women I work with how to achieve the look they want whether its natural or glamorous or somewhere in between. From skin care to makeup to fragrance I work to help my customers find that unique look they will love, and to have them leave me feeling more beautiful than they ever have before.
My tips and tricks have been featured on the Nordstrom beauty blog http://blogs.nordstrom.com/beauty/ , and in Health Magazine. Most recently I joined the Makeup.com team as a contributing beauty columnist, check it out for all kinds of helpful beauty hints!
If you are a bride or company in need of an on location makeup artist, please email me to set up an appointment and learn rates.
